gir1.2-gtkchamplain-0.12 software package provides Gtk+ widget to display maps (GObject introspection), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gir1.2-gtkchamplain-0.12
gir1.2-gtkchamplain-0.12 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gir1.2-gtkchamplain-0.12 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gir1.2-gtkchamplain-0.12 *
